At WorldSkills 44th International Competition in Abu-Dhabi, the Worldskills Georgia team competed in 7 professions - Cookery, Confectionery, Restaurant Service, Hairdressing , Graphic Design, Information Networking and Webdesign for several days with successful competitors such as - the United States of America, Great Britain, France, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Japan, China and others. The competition, which comprises 1300 delegates from 78 countries, is one of the largest projects in the world, is held every two years in a different countries and has hundreds of thousands of viewers both schoolchildren and large business representatives, who are watching and collaborating with many of them. As Worldskills President Simon Bartley says - participation in this competition already means victory. It is this kind of attitude that the Georgian contestants have, because they have received so much experience that they will use in their case and share with their colleagues who are interested in this profession. It is also a great experience for Georgian pedagogues to be an international competition experts and to assess the competitors of other countries. The honorable appearance of the Georgian Team is a result of existing approaches towards education and, in particular, of untiring work of those agencies who provided participation of Georgian representatives at the Worldskills 44th International Competition. With the help of the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, Worldskills Georgia team members passed long-term training and special training module for international competition.
