Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation organized a conference “Results of the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation Activities of 2017 and Future Perspectives”.
The goal of the conference was to present the report of the Foundation competition programs and events of 2017 to the public, the results of national and international competitions administered by the Foundation, difficulties and challenges revealed during the funded research projects, the updated competition evaluation procedures and criteria, activities carried out within the framework of the multilateral programs. The conference agenda also included presentations about the plans and future prospects of the foundation for 2018.
Mikheil Chkhenkeli, the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia addressed the participants of the conference: “Publicity and transparency of the conference is highly welcomed, in which the scientific foundation will work. We also welcome introduction of the open competition and competition principles, the international system of assessment and revelation of the best quality research in these ways ... World Scientific Society is one big family. We have all the resources for worthy membership of this family. I am glad that the Rustaveli Foundation does its best to achieve this goal. The Ministry expresses full support to the Foundation in this direction.”
