An International Conference dedicated to the issues in Vocational education

First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia -
Ketevan Natriashvili together with Elguja Meladze, - the President of the
Association of Employers opened an international conference - "Experience
in Vocational Education".
The aim of the conference is to strengthen the
role of employers in the of vocational education industry as well as further
enhance social partnerships. Additionally, the conference focused on sharing
the regional and international experience; within the context of presenting and
reviewing the current results of the Vocational Education development process.
Among the issues discussed were the priority
topics such as the role of vocational education in promoting the employment,
vocational education policy, private sector, employers' participation and
involvement in promoting and shaping the vocational education and business
development.
Together with the representatives of six countries,
numerous involved parties and partners of the vocational education participated
in the conference: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Germany; as well as the Regional
and international partners - Kazakhstan, Latvia, Ukraine; the German Embassy, German-Georgian
Educational Society, Georgian Trade Unions, Vocational Schools, Sector
Associations and Chamber of Commerce.
