Working meetings with the teachers are still held. This time, Minister of Education and Science, Dimitri Shashkini and Director of National Examination Center, Maia Miminoshvili met with around 500 teachers of Rustavi private and public schools.  The Minister spoke about already implemented, ongoing and planned initiatives and gave comprehensive answers to the teachers’ questions. The teachers are most interested in following issues: changes in National Curriculum, introducing new subjects, replacing physical fitness with sports lessons, improving school infrastructure and other initiatives for 2010-2011. Most of the questions were about procedures of teachers’ voluntary certification, graduate and entrance exams in 2011.

By the announcement of Dimitri Shaskini, these meetings support exchange of information.  Representatives of the Ministry consider teachers’ opinions, evaluate ongoing reforms together with them as well as discuss new ways for the development of new initiatives after consultations with the teachers and support schools to solve existing problems.

Meeting with the teachers will be systematically held.
