The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia - Mikheil Chkhenkeli held a meeting with the representatives of the Bavarian State institute of Viticulture and GIZ. The First Deputy Minister - Ketevan Natriashvili also attended the meeting.
During the meeting the sides discussed the prospects of establishing a new college of agriculture in Telavi, with the aim of training highly qualified personnel for wine production. In this regard, the Ministry of Education and Science will cooperate with the Bavarian State Institute of Viticulture. Additionally, discussions focused on the future development of Georgian and German joint vocational education programs.
At the end of the meeting it was decided that German partners will study the resource of Telavi University in the nearest future, which will help determine the plan and terms of establishing the vocational college.
