Within the scope of Batumi International Conference -
"Georgia's European Way", the Acting Minister of Education and
Science of Georgia - Mikheil Chkhenkeli held an introductory meeting with the
member of the European Union Affairs Committee of the Irish Parliament - Gerard
P. Craughwell and the Head of the International and European Relations
Institute (IIEA) - Rory Quin.
The sides discussed the possibilities of implementing joint
projects between the two higher education institutions. Among other important
topics, the development of exchange programs within the field of vocational and
higher education was discussed thoroughly. The Irish side positively evaluated
the possibility of enhancing academic relations with Georgia and expressed
their eagerness for future cooperation.
