It is unfortunate that, according to the organizers' decision, the meeting was not attended by the entrants who selected Black Sea International University and thus are affected by the Authorization Board's decision directly. Consequently, the main issue of discussion was not the uninterrupted learning process, but the financial debt of the Black Sea International University. In particular, the questions and requests deriving from the participants were mostly about changing the decision of the Authorization Board and removing the financial debt of the International Black Sea University in its entirety.
Moreover, over the course of the discussion, the Minister emphasized the fact, that the Authorization Council is an independent body and adopts the appropriate decisions as it see fits. On the other hand, the Ministry’s main priority stays the same – to protect the interest of young people and create conditions for promoting quality and equal access to education for all.
Subsequently, the applicants will be given the opportunity to be admitted to another authorized higher education institution, taking their interests unto account. It is important to note, that the decision of the Authorization Council will not affect the students already enrolled at the university, as they will continue their studies in the usual way. The Minister specifically noted that the Authorization Council has made this decision due to the financial problems of the Black Sea University, in order to prevent risks associated with the learning process.
