Mikheil Batiashvili - the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia attended the process of handing over the renewed textbooks for I-VI grade, together with the students of Tbilisi public school №61.
New National Curriculum with newly crafted courses will be launched in Georgian schools from the new the academic year of 2018-2019. Respectively, from the start of the new academic year, schools have the opportunity to start the learning process with better, technically improved, visually appealing, and most importantly safer textbooks that are in compliance with the European Union regulations. The weight of the books is actually halved.
In comparison with the previous years, the quality of paper and paint safety is drastically improved, the new printing paper is distinguished, with its characteristic lightness and durability.
Moreover, the new books are distinguished by its diversity of activities, compiled by the standards of modern literary language, and envisages the development of students' skills by using modern technological achievements.
