Members of Georgian Judo Youth Team were able to obtain 1 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze medals at European U-23 Championship held in Diori, Hungary.

Vladimir Akhalkatsi (81kg) won the European Champion title, whereas the silver prizes were accounted to Jaba Papinashvili (60kg) and Tamaz Kirakozashvili (81 kg). Amongst them, Georgian female judokas showed exceptional performance and won Bronze medals Eter Liparteliani (57kg).

296 judoists from 37 countries participated in the European U-23 Championship. The Georgian team took the 3rd place.
