On December 21, IX International Forum was held at multifunctional cultural center Fabrika. The event was opened by Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Natia Zedginidze and UN Permanent Coordinator in Georgia -Louisa Winton.
The Deputy Minister stated: "The Ministry of Education is well aware of the importance of youth for future development of the country and is ready to actively engage in solving problems and challenges amongst the young people. It is noteworthy that the priority of the Government is to develop youth directions throughout the country. It is also crucial to raise civic self-consciousness in the younger generation and increase their competence."
Based on the results of the Youth Organizations Forum, a document will be developed later that will be reflected in the development of youth sphere.
The 9th Forum of Georgian Youth Organizations aims to promote constructive dialogue between governmental and non-governmental organizations and provide information to participating organizations, processes and challenges in the field of youth.
The Forum of Youth Organizations of Georgia has been implemented in 2007 with the support of UNFPA, UNICEF and UNIDO and initiatives of youth organizations operating in Georgia.
