The First Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport - Mikheil Giorgadze held an introductory meeting with the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Georgia – Isa Albasha Alnoyami.

At the meeting organized at the Ministry, the sides talked about active cooperation between the countries and the prospects of cooperation within the fields of sports, education and culture.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister - Shalva Gogoladze, Head of Sport Development Department - Irakli Dolaberidze and National Director of Georgian Special Olympics Movement - Lasha Gotsiridze.

It should be noted that Georgia's Special Olympics team successfully competed at the World Summer Special Olympic Games in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, and won 2 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze medals.
