Minister of Education and Science, Dimitri Shashkini visited Tbilisi Public School №203, congratulated the school children on International Children’s Day and presented them with different gifts. Minister congratulated all children on this day, wished them health and success in studying. Dancers of choreography group of Public School №203, who are the winners of many festivals, performed the concert for the Minister.
Public school №203 is the school for deaf and hearing-impaired children. About 200 school children with Special Educational Needs study at this school. 120 of them use the boarding-school service. Teachers of Public School №203 use individual curriculum in the educational process. They have their own skills and methodology that are necessary for the children of Special Needs.
International Children’s Day has been celebrated on June 1 in many countries of the world since 1950. The goal of this day is to mobilize public opinion in order to protect children from the danger of new war, care for their health and bring them up in a democratic way.
