Working
meetings of the executive and legislative authorities with the population of
the regions are ongoing. This time, Irina Abuladze - Deputy Minister of
Education, Science, Culture and Sport, and Archil Japaridze, Governor of
Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti Region, together with members of parliament,
representatives of the Lentekhi Municipality villages - Khopuri, Lesema and
Khediko, held a meeting with the local population.
The
meetings with the villagers were conducted in a dialogue mode and mainly
touched upon the ongoing and planned concrete projects as well as the
challenges that need urgent resolution.
Irina
Abuladze informed teachers and parents about the ongoing reforms in the
education system and answered their questions about teacher certification,
classroom sets, science classroom arrangement, highland supplement and other
interesting issues.
At
this stage, all three village students are provided with school transportation,
schools have a proper learning environment and sport infrastructure, and the
teachers' corps are involved in all the procedures, the Ministry is undertaking
to improve the quality of teaching and learning. It is important to note that
within the infrastructure projects framework, bathrooms are being renovated in
all public schools of Lentekhi municipality (where necessary).
The
overarching goal of an open dialogue with the population is to plan the
country's budget by 2020 carefuly, whilst taking into account the interests and
needs of the population, so that meetings of government officials with the
population of the regions will continue in the future.
