The
Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, together with the National
Center for Disease Control and Public Health organized open sport lessons at
Tbilisi public schools N16 and N131 for the promotion of healthy lifestyle.
Shota
Khabareli, Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Sport and Youth
Affairs of the Parliament of Georgia, spoke about the importance of a healthy
lifestyle and physical education with the students. During the meeting, a
discussion was held on the importance of a healthy young generation and to this
end, information leaflets and special sports equipiment were distribution to
aformentioned schools.
The
event was held within the framework of the State Health Promotion Program,
which aims to increase the role of sport in schools and promote healthy
lifestyle. Similar events will continue in the future and will cover various
schools in Georgia.
