The President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili opened rehabilitated Z.Zhvania School of Public Administration in Kutaisi. Current year, school was fully renovated. The first listeners have been already enrolled in school in order to pass the professional development course. These students are: 15 Azerbaijanian and 15 Armenian public officials, who have been employed in governance and self - governance institutions of different regions (Gardabani,Bolnisi, Marneuli, Rustavi, Tetritskaro, Akhalkalai, Akhaltsikhe, Ninotsminda). They will pass English Language learning courses, IT and Human Resource management courses in summer 2010.
Z.Zhvania School of Public Administration was established in 2005 by the initiative of the President of Georgia. It is designed to teach Georgian as the state language to non - Georgian citizens and integrate them in civil environment. The goal of this school is to advance management in self-governance and governance institutions, improve quality of public service and develop professional resources of the employees who have been employed in public sector.
Z.Zhvania School of Public Administration will train potential or current officials of mountainous regions, regions of ethnic minorities and conflict zones according to the professional development program.
