Tamar Kitiashvili, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia met with the directors of state vocational colleges. During the meeting the current changes and future plans of the entire system were discussed.
The Deputy Minister emphasized the process of internationalization of the system, sharing of international practices, exchange of vocational students through exchange programs and granting them internationally recognized qualifications. The deputy Minister also talked about improving access to vocational education services, introducing new standards of authorization & validation, promoting entrepreneurial education and creating a new model of college management, which will be actively launched next year.
At the end of the meeting, the Deputy Minister thanked the college leaders for their active involvement in the process of vocational education reform and emphasized their role in defining vocational education policy.
