With combined efforts of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure and Dusheti Municipality, completed the renovation of the boarding school in the village of Magaroskari.
Ekaterine Dgebuadze, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, Mzia Giorgobiani, Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure, and Sozar Subari, Advisor to the Prime Minister on Regional Affairs visited the new renovated building.
The boarding school for 80 students was built in 1976. GEL 465,797 was allocated from the "High Mountain Settlements Fund" for the renovative works, within the framework of which bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchens were arranged in accordance with modern standards. Rehabilitation of the boarding house began in June 2019 and was completed in December of the same year.
Additionally, a partial renovation of the school building was carried our in 2018, with funds allocated by the Educational and Scientific Infrastructure Development Agency, a LEPL of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia.
Within the scope of education reform, the arrangement of modern school infrastructure is one of the priorities of the Georgian government. Accordingly, the construction, renovation and equipment of schools with necessary gear is underway throughout Georgia.
