LEPL, Zurab Zhvania School of Public Administration held a 15-year anniversary event at the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, where the school principal Ketevan Jakeli presented the activity report for 2019 and the 2020 Action Plan. The event was opened by the Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Georgia, Nunu Mitskevichi.
In 2019, Zhvania School implemented a number of important projects, expanding the geographical area of the state language teaching program, which significantly increased the number of people wishing to study the state language. A total of 3,600 members of the national minority were trained.
Moreover, in 2019, Zhvania School of Public Administration, became a member of DISPA, a network of public administration schools in EU member states. Within scope of cooperation, experience will be shared between the member organizations of the Council in key areas such as: public administration transformation and its impact on public servants, digital learning issues, ethical governance and access to improved services. The school plans to introduce international experiences and approaches to its activities.
The "Basic Program for Development of Professional Public Servants" has been established and accredited, within which, the school plans to intensively trains public servants employed in various municipalities throughout Georgia.
Additionally, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between Zurab Zhvania School of Public Administration and Lech Kaczynski School of Public Administration (KSAP). This will allow both schools to develop and implement joint training programs, thus greatly facilitating the public sector employees in their professional development.
The anniversary event was attended by representatives of the school's partner state agencies, officials from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Defense, the State Agency for Religious Affairs, as well as representatives of international organizations and diplomatic missions, school beneficiaries and its alumni.
