A joint reporting event by college "Spectri" and the boarding school “Aibi Mtiebi” was held.
The two educational institutions have been cooperating since 2019 to create a wide educational and cognitive environment for school students and are implementing a joint program to develop students' vocational skills.
As part of the vocational education program initiated by the college, students received information about 24 different vocations. 30 students of 8th and 12th grades were involved in the activities planned within the framework of the partnership. For 2 months they had the opportunity to acquire both practical and theoretical knowledge and certain skills in the following vocations: electricity, labor safety and a specialist in gypsum-cardboard constructions.
A documentary video made during the training session was presented at the reporting event held on the premises of Aibi Mtiebi. After the demonstration, the Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, Tamar Kitiashvili, presented the students with certificates of participation in the project.
The Vocational Skills Development Program is a good example of cooperation between Georgian vocational education, and general education institutions, which has been a significant challenge so far.
