The aim of the subprogram – To show various skills and capacities of the students and support their development;

Within the subprogram context; Ministry of Education and Science is organizing the manifestation of various skills and capabilities of students and promotes the development-oriented competitions; which will be in full compliance with the priority plans of the Ministry of Education and Science.
Exact and Natural Sciences
Team-based competitions (physics, chemistry, biology, and Mathematics)
Students have the opportunity to participate in a contest, which will be focused on teamwork and enables them to fully realize the theoretical and practical knowledge obtained in exact and natural sciences. The competition is organized by the company selected through a tender conducted by the Ministry of Education and Science.
The winner teams will be awarded with the participation in the international educational excursion:
The winners of I place in mathematics, physics and chemistry (no more than three students and one head) will travel to Switzerland, in the Central Laboratory of CERN. Whereas, the winners of I, II and III places in biology and II, III place winners of mathematics, physics and chemistry, will visit the Copernicus Science Center in Poland.
European Week
Within the scope of the European Week, the Ministry will announce a competition - "a step towards Europe", in which the contestants will prepare a specific video stories, determined by the rules of competition.
The winners will be awarded with diplomas and valuable gifts.
School Contest - “Future created from the Past”
Georgia celebrates it Independence Day on May 26, in this regard, the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia offers different kinds of competitions (Essays, Photo and Painting) to the students of the General Education Institutions, which aims at encouraging the patriotic and civic awareness; as well as enhancing the critical and analytical skills amongst the Youth regarding the historical events.
For the students of the mountainious regions and non-Georgian speaking schools, an essay and/or project contest will be held.
The winners will be awarded with diplomas and valuable gifts.
A campaign against violence
A step towards support" is a competition based on slogans, concepts and school performances (i.e flash mobs), in which the students have to express their views on violence, in conjunction with presenting their ideas on solving such problems.

Themed Competitions
Due to the anniversaries of the famous writers / poets and public figures the Ministry of Education and Science offers schools different kinds of competitions:
• “Theatrical Festival of Georgian Literature " will be announced, under which the schools will conduct performances based on the modern and classical Georgian literature.
• Regarding the anniversary of Shota Rustaveli, the Ministry will announce the folloiwng competitions for the General Educational Institutions: “Shota and Modernity” and the illustration contest. Students will present essays and illustrations around the competition topic.
The winners are awarded with diplomas and valuable gifts.
Healthy Lifestyle
In this regard, the Ministry will announce interviews / reports competition, which promotes the healthy lifestyle, healthy eating habits and food, healthy physical education and the denouncment of bad habits such as (tobacco, alchohol, etc.)
