The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia continues cooperation with the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. (MIA Academy). A Memorandum was signed between them today by Lia Gigauri, Deputy Minister of Education and Science and Givi Mikanadze, Rector of MIA Academy.

The Memorandum embraces cooperation on urgent issues of mutual interest, implementation of joint education projects, trainings and working meetings, sharing of resources, including intellectual and technical resources, as well as facilitating preparation of highly skilled staff.

“One day in the Academy” – a new project, initiated by the MIA Academy, was also discussed at the working meeting by the sides. They agreed on a visit to the MIA Academy by public school pupils in a pilot regime in May, current year. Under the project, public school pupils are provided an opportunity to participate in diverse education study courses, as well as practical work with the support of MIA Academy staff, lecturers and instructors.

At the end of the meeting Lia Gigauri, Deputy Minister of Education and Science examined infrastructure of MIA Academy, rooms for studying and physical preparation, real, as well as virtual shooting galleries and imitated border crossing point.
