
Meeting was held at the Ministry of
Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia with students studying in
foreign countries and wishing to continue their studies in an authorized higher
education institution of Georgia.
This year, students will be able to
continue their studies only if they have successfully passed the general skills
exam.
At the meeting, students expressed
dissatisfaction with the fee for the registration of the general skills
examination and the barrier to overcome the exam. Students also requested the
abolition of the general skills test.
The Ministry officials of Higher
Education and Science Development Department attended the meeting, and have
told the students, that the general skills exam is a way to establish that
students have the competency to continue their studies.
As the parties agreed at the meeting,
conducted at 10:00, employees of the National Assessment and Examination Center
will meet the initiative group composed of students and parents, and will
provide them with comprehensive information on the content and technical part
of the general test tests.
