Those interested in receiving vocational education are being able to register for the desirable educational programs till October 15 and acquire more than 100 full state-funded programs in the different directions, inter alia, innovative and modern programs in marine, engineering, tourism, information technologies, aviation and agriculture which are highly demanded by employers, are funded by Millennium Challenge Account.

At the event, the stakeholders were being able to receive comprehensive information regarding programs, registration, vocational tests, funded programs and other interesting details.

On the sideline of the work-based education, five graduates with special educational needs of Batumi Vocational College “BlackSea” were employed at Hotel “Hilton Batumi”. The employed graduates represent different educational directions of the college: Jaghatashvili Palina–graduate of the cook specialty 2016; Mikeladze Ednari– vocational student of hotel administration specialty; Khutsishvili Nino–graduate of room cook specialty 2015; Malakmadze Gogita – graduate of IT and Web Interface Developer 2017; Tsiteladze Malkhaz – -Personal Computer User Operator.

Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia with the aim of increasing student motivation together with Educational and Scientific Infrastructure Development Agency is implementing the project “My First Computer”. Today within the scope of the project, students of Tbilisi public schools were awarded portable computers who successfully completed the basic stage.

The graduates of Georgian Vocational College will leave for the world renowned international competition WolrdSkills. The competition will take place in Abu-Dhabi from October 14 to October 19. Our students will compete the representatives of 77 countries in 7 professions – culinary and confectionary, restaurant services, hairdressing, graphic design, information network wiring and web design.

The presentation of a new project “Development of Work-related Skills” has been offered for schoolchildren, their parents and school administration in Vocational School Ikarosi. The school teachers made presentations with respect of already implemented 5 projects.

The staffing of Board of Public and Private School Directors with new members takes place once in every three month. Directors elect new members themselves. The first session of the renewed board led by Lia Gigauri, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia was held in the new academic. At the beginning of the session, Lia Gigauri addressed all important innovations and introduced the issues provided by the agenda to the board members.

Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia in cooperation with Educational and Scientific Infrastructure Development Agency is implementing the project “My First Computer” in order to increase the motivation in students. Today students of Tbilisi public schools were awarded portable computers under the project who successfully completed the basic stage. At the first stage, the successful students of Old Tbilisi and Gldani-Nadzaladevi districts (overall 204 excellent students) were handed the computers. Lia Gigauri, deputy minister of Education and Science of Georgia made a welcoming speech and wish a success to the students.

The International Festival of Science and Innovation in 2017 ended with a grandiose event on October 10 - the best scientists of the year were awarded within the announced contest. Also, the winners in the photo contest and student competition in journalism were also revealed.

The public college has presented the report of the project "Introduction of Methodology for Recognition of Non-formal Education". The goal of the project is to support the introduction of informal vocational education in private and state professional / public colleges.

The Technical Training Center established on the base of the Georgian Technical University will receive first students on new vocational programs by state funding 100%. Students will master the professions relevant to modern labor requirements in direction of labor market in the direction of mechanical engineer technician, high voltage electrician, mechatronic technician and industrial automation technician.
