The representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia attended a Nodar Dumbadze play – “Helados” which was presented by the public school N200. The play was organized, within the scope of having an open day at the school. Furthermore, the play constituted towards getting acquainted with the principles of working with the SEN students.
The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia – Aleksandre Jejelava held a meeting with the Ambassador of Hungary to Georgia - Sandor Szabo.
On November 1, 2016 the fire was caused and unfortunately burnt down the wooden auxiliary building of the public school in Chunchkha village, thus burning down three classrooms, the school library and the science lab. As a result, many books and laboratory equipment was destroyed.
Today, the Minister of Education and Science held a free lesson at Tbilisi public school N51, and met with the students of the 11th grade.
The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia – Aleksandre Jejelava, awarded the successful students with various gifts and monetary prizes, for winning in various International School Olympiads. The Minister awarded five students in having won the International Subject Olympiad, whereas 13 of them were awarded for winning the National Information Technology (IT) tournament.
Today, the Minister of Education and Science – Aleksandre Jejelava, held a meeting with the Diaspora State Minister – Gela Dumbadze. The Ministers together with the working group discussed the teaching of Georgian language to the representatives of Georgian Diaspora in various countries.
Owing to the initiative of the department of vocational education development, a coordination meeting was held at the Ministry of Education and Science. The meeting entailed all the international organizations who are actively participating in such activities: (EUVEGE, UNDP, GIZ, and MCA).
A Georgian -Turkish educational exchange week was held in the Turkish city of Ordu, at the School of Social Sciences. The representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science together with the teachers and students of the private Batumi school - “Gorda” and the participated in the above-mentioned event.
Aleksandre Jejelava continues to visit the public and private schools. Today the Minister visited the Georgian-American school, located in Nadzaladevi district. The Minister had the opportunity to talk to the parents, as well as meeting with the students and the teachers. Moreover, the Minister got acquainted with the school infrastructure.
