The Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth Affairs of Georgia has prioritized the improvement and development of quality in doctoral education and research. In line with this objective, the Ministry has developed and approved a new standard for the evaluation of doctoral education and doctoral programs, aimed at significantly enhancing the quality of doctoral and research processes.

Minister of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia, Giorgi Amilakhvari, congratulated entrants and their parents on their successful completion of the Unified National Exams.

To support students, the Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth Affairs of Georgia is launching the application process for state educational grants as part of its social program.

The Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth Affairs of Georgia will organize the National Teacher Prize program for 2024 on September 13.

The closing event of the "Army Camp" took place at the Giorgi Antsukhelidze Academy of Sergeants in Kojori, attended by Nodar Papukashvili, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, and Youth, and Grigol Giorgadze, Deputy Defense Minister.

Minister of Education, Science, and Youth Affairs of Georgia, Giorgi Amilakhvari, has issued a statement in honor of International Youth Day.

On August 12, in celebration of International Youth Day, the Local Self-Government Youth Forum focused on the social and economic strengthening of young people. The event was attended by Giorgi Amilakhvari, the Minister of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia.

The Ministry of IDPs from the Occupied Territories, Labor, Health, and Social Affairs of Georgia has approved, through Resolution N46 dated February 27, 2024, a component for vocational training and qualification aimed at enhancing the skills of job seekers in high-demand labor professions. This initiative will facilitate vocational training and further internships in the workplace, thereby improving job seekers' competitiveness and promoting their employment.

Minister of Education, Science and Youth Affairs Giorgi Amilakhvari held an introductory meeting with the UN Permanent Coordinator in Georgia. During the meeting, the Minister congratulated the Coordinator on their new appointment and expressed gratitude for the United Nations' support in developing education in Georgia.

On the 16^th anniversary of the 2008 war, Prime Minister - Irakli Kobakhidze, Speaker of Parliament - Shalva Papuashvili, Minister of Education, Science and Youth - Giorgi Amilakhvari, along with members of the executive and legislative branches, paid tribute to the fallen heroes.

The graduation ceremony at Gori State University was attended by Nodar Papukashvili, Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia.

Starting in the 2024-2025 academic year, the program designed to prepare students from occupied territories for post-secondary education has been renewed. 

Starting September 2024, recent graduates will have the opportunity to participate in a four-month paid internship program in state institutions, initiated by the Government of Georgia. Applications for the internship program will be accepted from August 2 to August 8 of this year.

Students from Georgian public schools have achieved remarkable success at several prestigious international competitions, including the 54th International Physics Olympiad (iPho 2024), the 4th European Girls' Olympiad in Informatics (egoi 2024), the 12th International Tournament of Young Naturalists (IYNT 2024), and the 37th International Young Physicists' Tournament (IYPT 2024).
