Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia visited entirely reconstructed Poti Public School № 3. Infrastructure of Poti Public School №3 has been completely renovated: water closets, classrooms, halls and entrances have been rehabilitated. New central heating system has been installed.

New dormitory and hotel are being built at the Kobuleti vocation college “New Wave”. Construction is financed by Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia. Minister Dimitri Shashkini visited the college and got familiarized with construction works.

The process of distributing net-books is underway. All school throughout Georgia will be provided with net-books by September 15. 3500 net-books have been delivered to Adjara region and now they are being distributed to all schools of the region.

Resource officers visited Batumi boarding school, gave presents to the children and took them to Batumi Aqua Park. Resource officers organize such charity events almost every week.

The process of distributing textbooks to socially vulnerable schoolchildren throughout Georgia has started. Georgian Post has already sent textbooks to Adjara region.

From 2011-2012 academic year, 1700 schoolchildren of Tsalenjikha will continue studying in rehabilitated school buildings. This year, 8 schools of Tsalenjikha have been completely rehabilitated. 7 of them are located at the administrative boarder of Abkhazia. Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Dimitri Shashkini got familiarized with reconstruction works at Tsalenjikha schools.

Residents of regions are also able to subscribe to textbook home delivery on web-page of Georgian Post. Interested parents can select the textbooks from special information leaflet “School Textbooks”. Courier will deliver textbook to the family free of charge.

First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Koka Sepherteladze and President of Georgian Rugby Federation Giorgi Nizharadze got familiarized with construction works of Rugby Complex at Tbilisi Public School №186. With support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, Georgian Rugby Federation is building two rugby stadiums at Tbilisi Public School №186.

This year, for the first time, Georgia Post is involved in textbook distribution process. Parents are able to subscribe to textbook home delivery on web-page of Georgian Post. Courier will deliver textbook to the family.

By 2011-2012 academic year, 12 new schools will be built and 350 will be rehabilitated throughout Georgia. Today, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Giorgi Chakhnashvili visited Tbilisi Public School №24 and got familiarized with reconstruction works there.

By the initiative of the Embassy of State of Israel to Georgia, 5 Georgian teachers working in inclusive education will take part in trainings organized by Mashav Center. First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Koka Sepherteladze and Ambassador of State of Israel to Georgia Itzhak Gerberg held the briefing for the press on this matter.

Native English Speaker Teachers continue to arrive within the frame of the educational program “Teach and Learn with Georgia”. Today, a new group of teachers has arrived from different counties of the world. Native English language speaker teachers from the USA, Canada, Poland, England, Norway, India, Ireland, Philippines, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand will work in the public schools of Guria, Samegrelo, Kakheti, Shida Kartli, Kvemo Kartli, Adjara and Tbilisi.

In the frame of the eStrategy of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia for the years of 2011-2015, eStudents system was launched. Deputy Minister Giorgi Chakhnashvili and Deputy Head of Agency for Educational and Scientific Infrastructure Development Giorgi Gulua held a presentation on this issue.
