Owing to the decision of the Interagency Coordination Council and the epidemiological situation in the country, the deadline for opening theaters and cinemas in Georgia, which was set for November 1, has been postponed for some time.

Another vocational college has been added to the list of vocational education institutions in Georgia. Tamar Kitiashvili, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, together with Irakli Nadareishvili, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia and Irakli Mezurnishvili, Majoritarian MP of Kaspi Municipality opened the vocational college.

With the support of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, the building of the ensemble "Rustavi" and its structural unit - the Academy of Arts "Martve" was completely renovated.

To increase access to vocational education, the construction of a vocational college has started in Borjomi Municipality. The project is implemented with the financial support of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport and the active involvement of the local self-government.

The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, Mikheil Chkhenkeli participated in the online Ministerial of Education organized by the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe as one of the keynote speakers.

Practical-laboratory works are being carried out in full compliance with the recommendations of the Ministry of Health and sanitary-hygienic norms at Akhaltsikhe Vocational College "Opizari". 

The Council of Europe is planning a video conference on "Digital Citizenship Education Days" on 3-4 November this year. The video conference will be attended by education policy makers, teachers, and school administration representatives from across Europe.

Owing to the decision of the Interagency Coordinating Council headed by the Prime Minister, to effectively manage the COVID-19 situation in the country, the process of retraining senior medical students has commenced.

From October 29, owing to the initiative of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, the project "Georgian Art Figures for Georgian Students" will be held in a remote format.

Within the framework of a joint project of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, the Government of Estonia and the United Nations Children's Fund, primary school teachers, administration representatives and education system staff will be trained in the methods of distance learning.

The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, Mikheil Chkhenkeli, informed the public about the educational situation at those schools where the polling stations are located.

Between October 3-25, the Georgian national team won two medals at the World Online School Chess Championship. Ekaterine Pipia scored 8 points in the competition for girls under 17 and took the first place among 40 participants and won a gold medal. 

The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, Mikheil Chkhenkeli held a working meeting with the rectors of medical universities and heads of medical faculties and introduced them with the decision and action plan of the Interagency Council.
