Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia expresses its deepest condolences over the death of famous Georgian theater artist - Amiran Shalikashvili, the founder of the theater of the Georgian pantomime theater, a famous director and a mentor.

On November 22, the meeting was held on the current and planned innovations in education, culture and sports, as well as meetings were held with the teachers, principals, individuals who work in the industry culture and sports in Kutaisi.

Mikheil Batiashvili, the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia congratulated Akaki Tsereteli State University on its 85th anniversary and addressed fellow professors, students and attendees of special ceremony gathered at Kutaisi National Theater. The Minister, talked about the basic aspects of the educational reform, which will be implemented in the near future. Mikheil Batiashvili also spoke about the rapprochement of the education system with the European space, development of research, technologies and innovations and the effective steps taken in the country for the development and internationalization of higher education.

The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia Mikheil Batiashvili informed journalists about the construction of a student city in the vicinity of the high-level TSU high school building.

The Tbilisi-born artist Anna K.E. has been chosen to represent Georgia at the 58th annual Venice Biennale. The organization Creative Georgia is commissioning the pavilion; Margot Norton, a curator at the New Museum in New York, is curating it.

On November 21-27, Georgian volunteers and non-governmental organization – Helping Hand, will organize a volunteer week in Tbilisi - "I am a volunteer - active citizen".

Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation will administer the winner of the famous contest for the best young scientists in Georgia on December 10, 2018 at the National Youth Palace.

Organized by the Embassy of Georgia in Lithuania, a theatre based in the city of Naisa, Lithuania, presented a theatrical performance - “The way to Paradise” to its viewers in order to commemorate the 100^th anniversary of founding the First Democratic Republic of Georgia. 

The esteemed Jury for the inventors and researcher’s competition - "Leonardo Da Vinci 2018” have evaluated the 18 applications submitted at the final stage of the competition in accordance with the assessment criteria approved by the Director General of the Fund as of January 11, 2018 and have announced the winners of the 2018 competition.

Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia - Irina Abuladze visited the public school N9 of Gori, which was fully rehabilitated by Millennium Challenge Fund - Georgia. The school is designed for 780 pupils.
