Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation will administer the winner of the famous contest for the best young scientists in Georgia on December 10, 2018 at the National Youth Palace.

Organized by the Embassy of Georgia in Lithuania, a theatre based in the city of Naisa, Lithuania, presented a theatrical performance - “The way to Paradise” to its viewers in order to commemorate the 100^th anniversary of founding the First Democratic Republic of Georgia. 

The esteemed Jury for the inventors and researcher’s competition - "Leonardo Da Vinci 2018” have evaluated the 18 applications submitted at the final stage of the competition in accordance with the assessment criteria approved by the Director General of the Fund as of January 11, 2018 and have announced the winners of the 2018 competition.

Mikheil Batiashvili – the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia met with professors and students of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University and introduced them with new initiatives planned for higher education by the Ministry.

Mikheil Batiashvili – the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia visited Akaki Tsereteli State University of Kutaisi, got acquainted with current curriculum and met with students and professors. The Minister introduced the ongoing and planned innovations within the planned education and science reform.

Young people living in the regions will be trained in modern technologies that will help them to increase their level of education and study the most demanded professions of 21^st century.

Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia - Irina Abuladze visited the public school N9 of Gori, which was fully rehabilitated by Millennium Challenge Fund - Georgia. The school is designed for 780 pupils.

In order to increase the level of literacy, the Memorandum of Cooperation was formed between the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia and the National Library of Georgia, which was signed by the Minister - Mikheil Batiashvili and Director of the Library - Giorgi Kekelidze.

Within the scope of PRMC's social project "Stronger ones are not violent", a variety of famous wrestlers of Georgia including Geno Petriashvili visited public school N166 in Tbilisi. The esteemed guests talked about the importance of a healthy lifestyle as well as, emphasizing the significance to abolish discrimination, violence and bullying.

Mikheil Batiashvili – the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia attended the lesson of the new model, based on the development of reasonable skills at Tbilisi Public School N150. 

For the first time in Georgia, 3D video-installation of the unique collections preserved in the foundations of the National Center of Manuscripts of Korneli Kekelidze was created in Georgia.

Workshops continue with the resource center representatives. Deputy Ministers of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia - Irina Abuladze and Natia Zedgenidze met with heads of Educational Resource Centers in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti and Adjara regions and introduced current and planned innovations within the education reform.

Davit Gareji Conservation Methodology and Management Action Plan will be developed by the National Agency for Cultural Heritage Protection, along with experts from the Europa Nostra, the Institute of European Investment Bank and the International Center for Art.

Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia - Irina Abuladze continues her meetings with teachers. This time Deputy Minister held a meeting with teachers from Senaki Municipality and introduced them with new initiatives and future plans.
