Presentation of the preschool education direction was held within the framework of the Unified Strategy of Education and Science in 2017-2022. The presentation was attended by the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Lia Gigauri, Director of the Tbilisi Kindergarten Association Mr. Temur Tordinava, the directors of the kindergartens and representatives of various governmental and non-governmental agencies.
WorldSkills 44th International competition has been solemnly opened in Abu-Dhabi.The opening ceremony was attended by Georgian delegation which was composed of graduates of vocational colleges, teachers and consultants along with the representatives from around 80 countries. The Georgian delegation was led by the First Deputy Minister Ketevan Natriashvili and Director of National Centre for educational Quality Enhancement Tamar Sanikidze.

The graduates of Georgian Vocational College will leave for the world renowned international competition WolrdSkills. The competition will take place in Abu-Dhabi from October 14 to October 19. Our students will compete the representatives of 77 countries in 7 professions – culinary and confectionary, restaurant services, hairdressing, graphic design, information network wiring and web design.
The presentation of a new project “Development of Work-related Skills” has been offered for schoolchildren, their parents and school administration in Vocational School Ikarosi. The school teachers made presentations with respect of already implemented 5 projects.

Today students of Tbilisi public schools were awarded portable computers under the project who successfully completed the basic stage. At the first stage, the successful students of Old Tbilisi and Gldani-Nadzaladevi districts (overall 204 excellent students) were handed the computers. Lia Gigauri, deputy minister of Education and Science of Georgia made a welcoming speech and wish a success to the students.
On October 11-12, the 5th international conference on adult education is being held by DVV International which is participated by 120 adult education experts and political decision makers from 30 countries around the world, including Georgia.

The International Festival of Science and Innovation in 2017 ended with a grandiose event on October 10 - the best scientists of the year were awarded within the announced contest. Also, the winners in the photo contest and student competition in journalism were also revealed.
The public college has presented the report of the project "Introduction of Methodology for Recognition of Non-formal Education". The goal of the project is to support the introduction of informal vocational education in private and state professional / public colleges.
