In order to prevent the spread of coronavirus, according to the decision of the Interagency Coordination Council headed by the Prime Minister, the remote educational process will resume from September 15 in the following cities: Tbilisi, Gori, Rustavi, Kutaisi, Zugdidi and Poti. This regulation is already in force in Kobuleti and Batumi.

Leri Khabelov will head the Georgian National Olympic Committee for the next 4 years. Leri Khabelov, who has headed the Olympic Committee since 2012, was elected president for a third term at a specially organized session today. The composition of the executive committee was also approved at the executive committee.

Georgian rugby team will play in Eight Nations rugby tournament (Autumn Cup) scheduled from November 13 to December 6. Shalva Gogoladze, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Georgia believes that the participation of the national rugby team in the prestigious international tournament - "8 Nations" will be a historic decision, as for the first time Georgia will be given the opportunity to compete in such a high-ranking tournament.
