From October 29, owing to the initiative of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, the project "Georgian Art Figures for Georgian Students" will be held in a remote format.

Within the framework of a joint project of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, the Government of Estonia and the United Nations Children's Fund, primary school teachers, administration representatives and education system staff will be trained in the methods of distance learning.

The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, Mikheil Chkhenkeli, informed the public about the educational situation at those schools where the polling stations are located.

Between October 3-25, the Georgian national team won two medals at the World Online School Chess Championship. Ekaterine Pipia scored 8 points in the competition for girls under 17 and took the first place among 40 participants and won a gold medal. 

The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, Mikheil Chkhenkeli held a working meeting with the rectors of medical universities and heads of medical faculties and introduced them with the decision and action plan of the Interagency Council.

"If necessary, senior students at medical universities will be involved in the management of the virus" - said the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, Mikheil Chkhenkeli after the meeting of the Interagency Coordination Council.

The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, within the scope of European Week of Sport, organized a tennis tournament – ProAm – Domus #Be Active Cup 2020 in Mziuri. The competition was held in the mixed doubles category. Each team was staffed with professional and amateur tennis players.

Ekaterine Dgebuadze, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia attended the final event of the youth environmental competition "Niko Ketskhoveli School Award".

The development of the International Tourism College will start in Dusheti from the beginning of next year. Tamar Kitiashvili, the Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia visited the site where the college will be built together with the representatives of the local self-government and adventure tourism school.

The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, of Georgia Mikheil Chkhenkeli together with the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Maia Tskitishvili inspected the building of the newly renovated Archaeological Museum of Vani and the exhibition hall located on the museum premises.

Nunu Mitskevichi, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, together with Beka Peradze, Head of the Labor Inspection Department of the Ministry of Health, attended the Tbilisi State Medical University and the State Conservatory.
