On August 6, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia held a press conference dedicated to the Night Serenades Festival. The event was chaired by Deputy Minister - Levan Kharatishvili, Deputy Head of Tbilisi City Hall - Maka Nasrashvili, Festival Director - Nina Tsagareli and mezzo-soprano - Nino Surguladze.

Tbilisi hosts European Championship for the first time in Georgian boxing history. A team of boys and girls from 30 countries visit Georgia. More than 300 athletes compete in 26 weight categories.

Within the scope of “summer camps for students” project, implemented by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, an EcoCamp is functioning on the premises of Khelvachauri municipality, Salibauri public school N2. The purpose of the summer camp is to raise students' awareness of the environment, popularize the natural disciplines, and promote a healthy lifestyle.

Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport and Media Holding "Setanta Georgia". The memorandum was signed by Shalva Gogoladze, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport and Lasha Machavariani, Director of Setanta Georgia. Levan Machavariani, founder of Setanta Georgia, representatives of various sports federations and journalists attended the event held at 'Rooms Hotel Tbilisi'.

The Big Idea Challenge enables contestants from Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan to share their innovative ideas with the general public around the world. The contest is of video nature and based on it more than 300 projects have been created specifically for the competition, including 53 from Georgia.

On July 17, the National Museum of Georgia launched a three-day training seminar on "Protection of Cultural Heritage in times of crisis." Levan Kharatishvili, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, welcomed the participants, organizers and speakers. He emphasized the need for such trainings, as both Georgia and the whole world are constantly facing new challenges in the field of cultural heritage protection and it is essential that experts in the field share the latest approaches and international experience.

According to data from Web of Science, one of the largest scientific databases in the world, Georgian scientists and research publications have the highest citation index among post-Soviet countries, which is a major international success of Georgian scientists and confirms the high level of their research, the validity and high competitiveness of scientific papers.

On July 16, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport - Levan Kharatishvili held a working meeting with members of the official delegation of the Council of Europe's prehistoric rock art route. Among the delegation, prominent scientists such as- Ramon Monte Barquin, Hippolytus Colado Giraldo, Jose Manuel Rey, Antonio Batarda and Rayman Abdullayev were present. During the meeting, the sides discussed innovations in the field of heritage and cultural routes. Levan Kharatishvili briefed the members of the delegation on the Ministry's large-scale project "Georgia, Europe". The parties set out action plans for active cooperation and sharing of experience amongst themselves.
