The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia - Mikheil Chkhenkeli held a meeting with the representatives of the Bavarian State institute of Viticulture and GIZ. The First Deputy Minister - Ketevan Natriashvili also attended the meeting.
This year, the scholarship of German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) has been received by 85 students, scientists, doctorates and scientists of Georgia. For the first time in 2018 scholars and researchers are funded by Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation and DAAD joint programs. Moreover, al the scholarship recipients will travel to Germany.
During the meeting of the Georgian government, the amendments to the inclusive education were discussed by which the Georgian legislation will be harmonized with the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and in full compliance with the internationally recognized standards.
The Youth Policy Management Department of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia is announcing a competition for the volunteer development program within the Volunteer of Georgia 2018 project framework, starting from June 6 up to July 3, 2018. Volunteers – aged 16 to 25, will be selected from 64 municipalities across Georgia including Tbilisi (two candidates will be selected from every two municipalities).

Within the scope of an official visit of the Prime Minister of Armenia – Nikol Pashinyan to Georgia, the Minister of Education and Science of Armenia – Arayik Arutinyan, also visited Georgia.
The First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia - Ketevan Natriashvili and American Entrepreneur, Corporate Speaker, Professional Sportsman and NASCAR team owner - Jennifer Kobby held a meeting with the students of vocational college – Spektri.
Whilst paying an official visit to Israel, the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia - Mikheil Chkhenkeli met with the Minister of Education of Israel - Naftali Bennett. The Minister congratulated the Minister with the jubilee of 70th anniversary since the creation of the State of Israel. The sides discussed the issue of enhancing the existing of cooperation between the two countries in the field of education and particularly in science.
The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia - Mikheil Chkhenkeli whilst paying an official visit, held a meeting with the Vice-President of the Israel’s Innovation Administration - Dani Biran.
Mikheil Chkhenkeli - Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, participated in the International Science Ministerial in Jerusalem, where he met the President of the Bar-Ilan University - Ari Zaban. Additionally, Mikheil Chkhenkeli visited the university research centers, where he spoke with the researchers in person.
The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia in collaboration with Save the Children International Organization - organized a regional conference regarding the development of Inclusive Education Systems. The high level of inclusive education practiced in Georgia over the last few years, has led to the decision of holding such conference in Tbilisi for the first time. The organizers chose Georgia; with a specific reason to learn more about the Georgian experience.
The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia - Mikheil Chkhenkeli met with the Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovations - Frédérique Vidal. The sides discussed the future prospects of implementing joint academic and scientific research projects between the two countries.
