Resource Officers visited №203 public school and met visually impaired schoolchildren. Resource officers and representatives of the company “Mitana” delivered gifts to the children and congratulated them on the beginning of a new academic year.

Resource officers visited Samtredia №15 Boarding School for Children with Special Educational Needs, and together with representatives of the company “Master Sports,” congratulated the schoolchildren and school staff on the beginning of the new academic year. The guests also conferred gifts to the schoolchildren.

A new school has been built in the village Puta, located in Zestaponi municipality. Today, the First Deputy Minister of Education and Science, Koka Sepherteladze, and representatives of the local municipality opened the school.

Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Dimitri Shashkini, invited 1st graders of Tbilisi Public School №94 to the computer factory “Algorithm." The Minister led the schoolchildren on a tour to familiarize them with both the computer assembly process and how educational software is installed.

Deputy Minister Giorgi Chakhnashvili attended a presentation of the joint project of Georgian and Czech schoolchildren at the school lyceum of Mtsignobartukhutsesi. During the event, Mr. Giorgi Chakhnashvili met the representatives of the Czech education sphere and discussed with them various educational projects/programs.

In the scope of the election campaign, Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Dimitri Shashkini, met the local population of Telavi. The Minister, along with an election candidate from the National Party, Vasil Davitashvili,  answered the questions of the people from the villages of Ikalto, Karajala and Kondoli.

Irine Kurdadze, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia attended the meeting.

English language volunteer teachers, who work in Georgia through the program “Teach and Learn with Georgia,” visited the Kakheti region and took part in winemaking. Teachers from USA, Canada, Australia, Great Britain and countries of Europe picked grapes at the vineyard of the professional college “Aisi”. They then proceeded to prepare the first batch of wine of the season.

The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation announced an international contest, named “Leonardo Da Vinci,” for schoolchildren–inventors. The aim of the contest is to promote creative thinking among schoolchildren and to interest them in technical innovations.

School Resource Officers visited the Infants Boarding School and spent one day with infants. They gave different kinds of presents to infants and assisted the teachers in solving everyday problems.
