The Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, Nunu Mitskevichi held a working meeting with the Minister of Education and Culture of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia, Roland Nizharadze and the Head of the Education Service of the South Ossetian Administration, Soso Tsotniashvili.

The aim of the working meeting was to formulate a category and criteria in the resolution of the Government of Georgia for financing the state education grant within the social program framework for the individuals who enrolled in higher education institutions as a result of passing the Unified National Examinations.

The parties also discussed various issues related to the support of young people living in the occupied territories.

The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia implements a social program every academic year, within which students are funded in different categories. Registration for funding under the Social Program for the 2020-2021 academic year will be announced in September.
