Minister of Education and Science, Dimitri Shashkini and Rector of the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Khatia Dekanoidze awarded future 205 resource officers with certificates. Resource Officers were retrained at the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. They developed practical skills as well as got familiarized with theoretical material and passed psychological course. Certified resource officers will enter Tbilisi public schools from the new academic year in order to keep internal regulation.

21 resource officers were trained in the first pilot group. 7pilot schools will be covered from April 15, 2010. The group that is composed with one woman and two men will support the prevention of conflicts and crime and provide the school children with any kind of aid.

Training of the resource officers will be still carried out. Retraining of 740 resource officers is planned before the beginning of the new academic year.  Resource officers will enter public schools in Batumi, Kutaisi Zugdidi, Poti, Rustavi and Gori as well in Tbilisi from September.
