The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, Mikheil Chkhenkeli congratulated the distinguished women on March 8.

To celebrate the occasion, Minister Chkhenkeli visited the famous Georgian linguist and philologist - Mzekala Shanidze. Dr. Shanidze has an immense contribution to the study of Kartvelological language topics and Georgian manuscripts and is the author of numerous scientific papers. Dr. Mzekala Shanidze turned 95 this year.

Moreover, Mikheil Chkhenkeli visited the renowned Georgian film director - Lana Ghoghoberidze. The director of many famous feature films has received many awards, is a candidate of philological sciences, and has been in the diplomatic service throughout her life.

Furthermore, the Minister visit Ms. Gulizar Bitsadze, a mentor teacher of Georgian language and literature at the 62nd Public School, where she spent more than 60 years of pedagogical life. Additionally, Mikheil Chkhenkeli paid a visit to the world famous Georgian artistic gymnast, Neli Saladze, who was been coaching for 50 years, and is a proud member of the Knight of the Order of Merit. At the age of 81, Ms. Saladze is still active in the field of coaching.
