The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia won a grant for the first time under the direction of the EU grant program Erasmus + sport. The name of the project is "IntegriSport Next" and it will be implemented in a collaborative partnership format. The project aims to assess national systems for sports match manipulation, raise awareness and raise the qualifications of professionals to improve the efficiency of case studies and sports response mechanisms in countries.
The project, coordinated by the CSSF Foundation for Sport Integrity, will be implemented in two phases in 2021-2022 and includes the following issues related to bargaining games and sports betting manipulations: regulation of sports betting, legal and sports regulation systems of bargaining games, basics of nationally coordinated combat; Education system and prevention mechanisms. The project provides an opportunity for partner countries to conduct joint research, awareness campaigns, joint meetings with law enforcement agencies, sports organizations and other stakeholders and government agencies, both nationally and internationally, to share the experience of other countries and deepen international cooperation.
Together with Georgia, the project will be implemented in the following countries: Finland, Estonia, Sweden, Malta and Cyprus. Also, the project partners are: Global Lottery Monitoring System (GLMS), the Catholic University of Leuven (KU Lueven) and the supporting organization - the International Federation of Professional Footballers (Fédération Internationale des Footballeurs Professionnelles, Division Europe, FIFPro).
