The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia actively works to improve the success rate of Georgian universities and research institutions to be admitted in the new EU framework program - Horizon Europe. The program's network of local contacts has been updated and strengthened according to various fields, and numerous European spaces have been set up at higher education institutions.
This time Deputy Minister Nunu Mitskevichi visited the Apolon Kutateladze Georgian State Academy of Arts, inspected the newly renovated building and held a working meeting with the Rector - Giorgi Gugushvili and various representatives of the Academy administration. The parties discussed the prospects of the Academy of Arts' involvement in the grant competitions of the new EU framework program Horizon Europe.
Additionally, Nunu Mitskevichi also spoke about the importance of popularizing science through art at higher education institutions. Giorgi Gugushvili expressed his readiness to participate in the program, which means organizing various events, master classes or competitions on numerous scientific topics.
It should be noted that the Academy of Arts was actively involved in the winning project "Science Captain" of Horizon 2020 "European Explorer Night". During the meeting, the parties also talked about the project and, taking into account the experience gained, planned joint events to promote science.
