The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Mikheil Chkhenkeli congratulates the public on the World Book Day and calls on the special hashtag: #Giftbook to be involved in the campaign:

"I am glad that the World Book and Copyright Day has been celebrated in Georgia for almost 20 years now. It is symbolic that this day is associated with the geniuses of world literature. World Book and Copyright Day was declared by UNESCO in 1995 and has been celebrated in Georgia since April 23, 1996.

This day has been established in Georgia as a book gift day, which is an excellent initiative to promote books and literacy. After all, a book is one of the best gifts we can give to each other.

My request is to join the #Giftbook campaign, give a nice gift to your loved ones and increase their motivation to read their favourite books. "
