The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Giorgi Amilakhvari hosted the representative of the United Nations Children's Fund in Georgia - Ghassan Khalil. The parties discussed the current and future cooperation between the Ministry and UNICEF.

Giorgi Amilakhvari personally expressed his gratitude towards Ghassan Khalil and the United Nations Children's Fund as whole, for many years of fruitful cooperation in the field of education and further stated that UNICEF has made an important contribution to the development of the education system of Georgia. 

The parties agreed that the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and the United Nations Children's Fund will further enhance the existing cooperation in the future in terms of protecting children's rights and ensuring equal access to quality education.
