The Minister of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia, Giorgi Amilakhvari, is currently on a working visit to London.
During the World Education Forum, the minister held meetings with leaders from international educational organizations— Edsby, Times Higher Education, and Google for Education.
Edsby LMS is a versatile learning management system tailored to the needs of teachers, students, parents, school administration, and the ministry. Plans include updating the electronic management information system, enhancing data collection, aggregation, and introducing an analytics system to strengthen general education.
In the meeting with Edsby's representative, the minister discussed collaboration in these areas, focusing particularly on maximizing personal data protection.
During discussions with representatives from the British organization Times Higher Education (THE), Giorgi Amilakhvari reviewed a detailed study on transnational education conducted from January to March this year. This study, conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth and the British Council, aimed to identify opportunities and challenges for developing British-Georgian transnational education and to propose recommendations for enhancing partnership relations between the two countries.
The parties reviewed the study findings and explored opportunities for further cooperation.
Additionally, within the forum's framework, the minister conducted a working meeting with representatives of Google for Education, addressing potential areas of collaboration.
Deputy Minister of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia, Nodar Papukashvili, and Ambassador of Georgia to Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Sofio Katsarava, attended these meetings with international educational organization representatives.
