The Minister of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia, Giorgi Amilakhvari, along with First Deputy Alexander Tsuladze, conducted a working meeting with Sara Chidgey, the Regional Export Director for Eastern Europe and Central Asia at the UK Government's Department for Business and Trade, and Mark Clayton, the British Ambassador to Georgia.
During the meeting, discussions centred on enhancing cooperation between Georgia and the United Kingdom. The minister briefed the guests on the meetings he attended during his visit to London.
The conversation also covered the findings of an in-depth research report on transnational education conducted by Times Higher Education in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth and the British Council. It was highlighted that the research outcomes are highly promising, presenting significant opportunities to attract British universities to Georgia. Based on these findings, plans for future collaboration were outlined.
Sara Chidgey expressed her full support to the minister in strengthening ties between Georgian and British universities.
