On July 3, 2024, Giorgi Amilakhvari, the Minister of Education, Science, and Youth Affairs of Georgia, visited the 147th Tbilisi Public School on the inaugural day of the Unified National Exams. He personally observed the examination process and wished the entrants success, expressing hope that each would achieve their desired results and continue their studies in higher education.
Minister Amilakhvari emphasized that all examination centers across Georgia provide a quiet and safe environment, allowing each applicant to demonstrate their knowledge and skills to the fullest.
The Unified National Exams commenced at 9:00 AM with the Georgian Language and Literature exam, taking place in 12 cities across 24 examination centers. This year, all centers are equipped with cooling systems, and additional transportation from the subway to the examination centers has been arranged. Information regarding transportation provided by the National Assessment and Examinations Center is available to applicants.
Approximately 80,000 applicants have registered for the 2024 exams, including:
- Over 47,000 for the Unified National Exams
- More than 3,000 for the student grant competition
- Over 10,000 postgraduate candidates for the General Master's Exam
- More than 18,900 for the teacher exam
The 2024 exams will traditionally be held in two sessions, concluding on July 26 with the Physics Exam. Teachers will be involved in the examination process starting on July 5. The student grant competition is also scheduled for July 5, while the master's exams will take place on July 17-18.
