Meeting was held between the Resource Officers of MES and representatives of media. Around 20 journalists of TV, radio companies and press took part in the two-day retreat in Kvareli tourist complex.

Resource Officers informed the journalists about their activities at Public Schools and main responsibilities.

Participants of the seminar were provided with the full information about the sense of the Office of Resource Officers, aims and trainings before launching activities.

Resource Officers, who took part in the meeting, personally spoke about their experience and relationship with the schoolchildren, parents and teachers. According to them, schoolchildren call them elder friends and speak with them about personal problems. Resource Officers talked also about the issues concerning particular facts and answered journalists’ questions.

In the scope of the Safe School concept, facts of violence have significantly decreased as the result of Resource Officers’ activities. According to the results of the researchers, smoking is practically abolished at schools, students attendance in time is increased, facts of secret missing are decreased as well and extortion are decreased. Violence among the schoolchildren and vandalism is decreased.
