Liberty Bank joined the project Safe and Healthy School in April 2010. According to the current data, the Bank implements it most successfully. In the frame of the project, Liberty Bank has already provided around 30,000 schoolchildren with the credit cards and they are able to use them only on the school territory. Liberty Bank has already implemented the project at around 50 public and private schools.
The schoolchildren are able to use the credit cards, provided by Liberty Bank in the school canteens. They also buy the office stationery on the school territory with these cards. By the initiative of the Safe School project, the leading companies carry out their activities at the school canteens that is so important for the healthy life of the children. Schoolchildren also get used to carry out calculation without cash, through the Bank’s POS terminals in a few seconds. Children are protected from losing the cash. If the child looses the card, the sum transferred on it is blocked easily through the 24 hour information centers of the Bank. Parents whose children have above credit cards, have the guarantee their children will not use the money without purpose.  The cards operate only at the concrete canteens and stores on the school territory. Parents have opportunity to receive messages and watch all expenditures of their children if they activate the service. Several ways exist to transfer the sum to the account of the credit cards: at any service center of Liberty Bank, including Liberty  Express – Liberty mobile service, through the pay boxes, through transferring cash from the ATM of Liberty Bank.
“Pilot project was implemented in April, 2010, the first school was Public School #51 and the project is successfully ongoing there. Afterwards, we actively developed the project. Nowadays, Liberty Bank is the only Bank, issued the largest number of the credit cards and the mostof the schools are involved in its system. We will still carry out activities in this direction in 2011” – announced the Deputy General Director of Liberty Bank, Armen Matevosyan.
From 2011, Liberty Bank offers the schoolchildren credit cards with the new design.
