The representatives of the National Curriculum and Assessment Center under the Ministry and UNESCO Chair in Intercultural Dialogue of Tbilisi State University visited the XI th graders of Gori public school №8 and attended a model lesson in a new elective subject “World Culture”.

Model lessons at general educational institutions are organized as a part of the memorandum of understanding signed between National Curriculum and Assessment Center and Tbilisi State University.

Director of National Curriculum and Assessment Center Natia Jokhadze informed the schoolchildren on the meaning of the new elective subject “World Culture”.

The topic of the model lesson was cultural universals. The schoolchildren made a presentation on this topic.  In the end, National Curriculum and Assessment Center experts provided feedback to the lesson.

“World Culture “will be introduced from the 2011-2011 academic year as an elective subject at  X, XI,XII grades in general educational institutions.
