317 conscripts of the State Guard Special Service of Georgia swore a military oath of State Guard Special Service. Among the conscripts are 18 beneficiaries from the Orphanages of Saguramo, Tbilisi and Batumi. They wish to get enrolled in the contract-based service at the State Guard Special Service.
Swearing-in ceremony was attended by the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Dimitri Shashkini, Head of the Social Service Agency of the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs Tamar Makharashvili and the directors of the above mentioned orphanages.
Special State Protection Service of Georgia has been organizing conscription for 16 years. For the first time this year, the agency started to enroll the beneficiaries on contact based service. This was made possible as a result of the joint efforts and cooperation of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and the Social Service Agency of the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs.
This trend will continue in the future as well. The aim of this initiative is to support integration of the youth deprived of the parental care into a society. While serving, the State Guard Special Service will provide the conscripts with housing, salary, health insurance, seasonal uniforms and other benefits.
