During the working meeting, the Minister talked about the current and upcoming initiatives of the Ministry of Education and Science to be carried out in 2010-2011. Dimitri Shashkini also inquired the activities of the higher educational institutions, their concerns and future development plans.

The Minister presented his views and proposed number of initiatives to be carried out in higher education:  solving the problems regarding quality assurance systems (licensing, accreditation); modifying the scheme of universities dotation development, enhancing the programs financing component, adopting sport activities.

The Minister listened to the opinions of each participant and stated that the Ministry was ready to take their positions into account while implementing the above mentioned plans. The similar meetings with the rectors of higher educational institutions will be held regularly, stressed the Minister.
